  • PLAYLIST #5! SUBSCRIBER'S CHOICE

Song - Artist - Album (My Comments)

    1. So Nice, So Smart - Kimya Dawson - Knock-Knock Who?

(My favorite song on the Juno Soundtrack. I'm actually surprised that I never put this song on any of my previous playlists. Chosen by rockmusic4ever11)

    2. The West Coast - Jason Schawtzman - Nighttiming

(Jason Schwartzman aka Coconut Records. This song was featured on The OC, which happens to be my favorite show. I was very excited when beautywithin2851 picked this as their favorite.)

    3. Lorelei - Cocteau Twins - Treasure

(Very distinctive sound, but I like it. I also like how the band is Scottish - a while back my mother decided to be the "black sheep" of her family and move from Scotland to America.. we still visit once or twice a year. I plan to move there in a few years to be with my family. Anyways, thank you SundaySex for this reccomendation.)

    4. Dancing With Myself - Billy Idol - Vitol Idol

(Yes, this is a classic. I really like Billy Idol, and was planning to include him in one of my future playlists. This was chosen by flights_subject_to_CHANGE)

    5. Red Light - The Strokes - First Impressions of Earth

(I love The Strokes, though never would have heard this song if it weren't for HPlover4life. This may be my new favorite by them!)

  • Like Stealing Music From A Record Store.

I spent the day in downtown Worcester, MA checking out different stores to apply for employment. I came across one called Jellys Discs. Let me assure you, this place is a music lover's paradise. They had mostly every CD I was looking for plus thousands of others.. I have never seen a place with so much great music. I indulged on a few CDs from my favorite artists as well as some extrememly cheap finds. I got Spice Girls for my sister - $2.50. I also got Fingertight's In the Name of Progress for $0.25! Let me spell that out just in case you didn't get it... TWENTY FIVE CENTS! I spent more on the parking meter outside the store. Another 25 cent find was an R&B group Public Announcement.. they are pretty good even if I don't really like their style of music. Anyways, cheap CDs, DVDs, VHS and records are all found at Jellys. Visit if you're in the area.

I also want to remind everyone to be thinking about their favorite song. Once you have decided, please send me the title one way or another. You can post it through a comment on this weblog, you can message me, chat board, email ....whichever. That playlist will be posted this Friday 8:00 pm EST. That leaves you 5 Days, 3 Hours, and 8 Minutes to decide.
